ADMINISTRATIVE
ASSISTANT APPOINTMENT
November 15, 2007
Medical Mercy Canada is pleased to announce
that Patricia (Pattie) Hantzsch has accepted the position of
Administrative Assistant to the Board of Directors,
effective November 15, 2007. In this capacity, Pattie will
be responsible for all administrative activities including
setting up a central MMC office at the warehouse location
(4510 – 14th Street N.E.), regulatory liaison and reporting,
and events planning. It is anticipated that she will
understudy the Executive Director’s functions and assist
with a number of growth oriented initiatives. Initially, she
will report directly to Mr. Ihor Mazuryk, Executive
Director.
Mrs. Hantzsch brings a wealth of experience
to MMC. She has fifteen years of banking experience with
CIBC, has held the position of Chairperson (2005 – 2007) and
is currently the Business Director for Tryzub Ukrainian
Dance Ensemble, Calgary’s premiere Ukrainian dance group,
serves on the council of Assumption Ukrainian Catholic
Church, and is a member of the Ukrainian Canadian
Professional & Business Association of Calgary. She has
also contributed to the success of several other charitable
organizations. The Board welcomes Pattie to her new role
with MMC.
MMC also expresses thanks and gratitude to
Mylaine Tsaprailis for the tremendous dedication, work and
contribution of effort and personal time to the benefit of
the organization. Mylaine is leaving due to time demands
within her personal and business activities, but will
continue to be an active member of MMC. On behalf of the
Board, we extend best wishes for her future endeavours.

Medical Mercy Canada (MMC) is a
non-religious, registered Canadian volunteer organization which provides
unconditional help to impoverished persons in Ukraine and on the Burmese
borders. Since 1991 Dr. Myron and Elaine Semkuley have led volunteers on
annual trips to Ukraine each summer and to the borders of Burma each
winter, providing medical assistance, instruction, and donated supplies,
as well as funds and follow-up for small-scale building and hygiene
projects.
