David Wartman, BA, MS, FCMC- Director
David is President of Delta Strategy Group, a personal holding company. He has an extensive background in consulting, executive management and governance. In his work, he focuses on the use of collaborative practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
David currently serves part-time as Executive Director of the Calgary Civic Symphony and his prior operational experience also includes a period as the Chief Executive Officer for Lifeline Malawi, a Canadian- registered charity that operated two medical clinics in Malawi. Prior to Lifeline Malawi, David was Managing Partner with Legacy Executive Search Partners (50% owned by Delta Strategy Group Ltd.) where he provided executive search services across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
David also has an extensive volunteer life. Over the past 30+ years he has served on 16 volunteer boards and chaired five; he also chaired a corporate board. He currently serves as a volunteer trainer with Alberta Culture's Board Development Program and was recently Chair of the National Certification Committee of Certified Management Consultants – Canada; in addition to his involvement as Past President of The Rotary Club of Calgary Chinook and the Norseman Ski Club.
David is a Saskatchewan native, and a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (Regina Campus) with a BA (Great Distinction) in Political Science and from the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University with a Master of Science (MS) in Collective Bargaining and Organizational Behavior. He is also a Lifetime Fellow Certified Management Consultant.
